A positive path for spiritual living

YFM: Who We Are

About Us

The Youth and Family services of Unity Center for Spiritual Growth is a unique spiritual experience for children and teens.  The teachers and students engage in a wide variety of experiences designed to motivate and inspire the youth of today to connect the divine presence to their daily lives through motivational lessons which encourage independent thinking and self-exploration. Sunday lesson plans are carefully constructed to lead children through a system of discovery where there are no wrong answers! We welcome people of all races, color, religions, social backgrounds and economic levels with dignity and love. We take an extremely positive approach to life, emphasizing the good in all people and in all of life.

The Sunday Youth service seeks to relate religion to our daily needs, affirming that for every need there is God’s perfect answer. We place a strong emphasis on the healing power of prayer and meditation. Our primary textbook is the bible, interpreted through Unity teachings striving to make each lesson relevant to our everyday experiences.

Children's Version of Five Basic Principles

  1. God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.

  2. I am naturally good because God's Divinity is in me and in everyone.

  3. I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.

  4. Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.

  5. I do and give my best by living the Truth I know. I make a difference!

Unity Center for Spiritual Growth strives to provide an environment to develop independence, as well as provide a group social experience. We empower children to thrive and grow in emotional, cognitive, spiritual, social, and physical senses while gaining an understanding, appreciation, and respect for self, environment, humanity and all life.

Our Youth Ministry Program has a Youth Ministry Director who co-created the vision, curriculum, policy, teachers, volunteers, budget, and any other aspects of our Youth Ministry Program. Our current director is Shari Bowers who can be reached at youthministry@unitycsg.org
